June Step Challenge 108: Every Step for a Good Cause
In June, you could see us on the move more than usual because every step we took was a step for a good cause. For the fourth time, we held our June Step Challenge, where each of us had a goal of walking 10,800 steps a day. Over the past month, you could see us doing so:
- Taking part in a charity golf tournament and even winning first prize at the Olga Havel Foundation Goodwill Golf (organised by the Aeqoom group) - congratulations to Ondrej Svoboda!
- Competing in the Padel Cup 2024 (organized by CONCENS INVESTMENTS a.s.) and finishing in second place - congratulations to Mark Kodra!
- Hiking in the Austrian Alps mountains
- Participate as a team in the Unicredit Prague Relay by RunCzech
- Run from one meeting to another, or run in general
- Or simply walk a lot
Thanks to the participation of all 108 members, we reached our goal and are proud to support those who unfortunately cannot get around on their own. The funds will be used for:
- The Jedlička Institute Sports Club (SCJU), to which we will contribute to a pre-season ski instructor course in Italy for SCJU athletes and other children with disabilities from the Jedlička Institute and schools. Thanks to qualified instructors, thirty children will learn to ski with the help of specialized equipment such as monoski and biski.
- Stepan, a young man with central muscular hypotonia, needs regular canister therapy, which is not covered by public health insurance. We will contribute to this therapy, which is crucial for Stephen's physical and mental health.
- Vera, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and desperately needs a wheelchair for daily movement. Due to her limited pension, purchasing a wheelchair is a financial burden. The funds will be used to purchase a wheelchair.
A big thank you to all 108 members for working together to reach this goal and for the incredible 16,728,882 steps.
